Volunteering your time

When you may be dealing with Bipolar Disorder or even getting over a episode its always great to volunteer your time to someone or to some organization. Volunteering not only gives you something to do but it also takes were mind off of your problems and also makes you feel good knowing that you have helped someone or made a difference in your community. This can easily boost your confidence and build your self-esteem which is vital when dealing with Bipolar Disorder. Especially when your having a depressive episode or just getting over one.
Volunteering your time is gratifying to not only yourself but to whomever your volunteering for or where ever your volunteering at. Some great places to volunteer at are your local shelter, the local dog pound, the local YMCA or even the local community center. There are many places and many volunteer opportunities out there you just have to find the one that you know you would enjoy doing. So do yourself a favor and get out and volunteer your time you'll see just how satisfying it can be! Until next time stay active and safe!
